Overview
Annoy (Approximate Nearest Neighbors Oh Yeah) is an open-source C++ library by Spotify for searching points in space that are close to a given query point. It uses a forest of random projection trees for efficient ANN search, supports memory-mapped files for fast lookups, and is optimized for read-heavy workloads. Annoy is widely used in recommendation systems.
