Microsoft Agent Framework
AI Agents & Automation
Overview
Microsoft Agent Framework is a multi-agent orchestration framework and SDK that unifies AutoGen and Semantic Kernel, combining conversational multi-agent abstractions, enterprise features, and graph-based workflows for explicit control over multi-agent execution paths. It provides agent abstractions, session state, middleware, telemetry, graph-based workflows, and compiler-backed type safety in C#. The framework includes YAML-based agent definitions, consistent Python and .NET APIs, OpenTelemetry observability, and deployment to Microsoft Foundry.
